Glenda Oathout

Since 1985, I've proudly served as the Broker/Owner of Oats Realty Inc, focusing on residential properties in the Port Charlotte and Englewood areas. In 2013, I expanded our services by opening a branch office at the Deer Creek RV Resort and Country Club administration office, where we provide custom site-built homes, mobile homes, and RV lots, many of which are situated on the beautiful 18-hole golf course. I built my own home in the Regal Pointe section in 2006 and have thoroughly enjoyed my time living in Deer Creek! I look forward to the chance to give you a tour of our vibrant 55+ community.

Barbara (Babs) Walterhouse

Prior to moving to Florida, I worked in the education field with both middle and high school age students, as well as being a school finance officer, for the Dare County School District in NC. My husband, Everett, and I have lived in Deer Creek for twenty-five years and early on had the opportunity to travel in our RV for a couple of years before settling in Fl and making Deer Creek our home. Living so close to the "Most Magical Place on Earth", I chose to work as a cast member at Disney's Animal Kingdom & Epcot, being a part of the Animal, Science, Environment Team for numerous years. There, I taught both student and adult groups a variety of science programs, sharing information on our many animals and our environment, as well as representing the Disney Company for our weekly visits to the three children's hospitals in Orlando. In 2016, I got my real estate license and came to work with Oats Realty, working exclusively in Deer Creek. Then two years later, I got my broker associates license, and continue to be employed with Oats Realty, allowing me the opportunity to serve both buyers and/or sellers to meet their real estate needs at Deer Creek. 

Doris

Doris obtained her FL real estate agent license in 2000. She worked in commercial real

estate for Cushman & Wakefield and Owens Realty as an asset manager; managing

commercial properties for single investors, REITs, educational and governmental

agencies. She managed the Orlando City Hall complex for over twelve years,

commuting via SunRail to downtown Orlando after moving to Deer Creek in 2019. After

retiring from that assignment, she began selling homes and lots in Deer Creek. To date,

she’s sold well over 100 properties, some of them multiple times – a common

occurrence in the coveted Deer Creek community, owners move about but not out!

Doris really enjoys meeting potential new neighbors and touring them about on her

turquoise golf cart. Besides selling real estate, Doris enjoys golfing with husband Mike,

traveling, gardening, theatre, concerts, and riding about with the newest family member, a Frenchton named Dewey.

Kathy Groves

Originally from the Midwest where my career was Human Resources Management in a variety of disciplines from working for the State of Illinois, Insurance and Banking. I also was involved with breeding/showing dogs and horses.

A life changing event occurred and I moved to Florida in mid 1999. Living in Pensacola area, I decided to embark on a real estate career. I became licensed December of 2004 and am proud to say I have worked with several brokerages throughout the years. 



When you hire me, you get straight talk with not a lot of fluff in my approach. Both buyers and sellers deserve an honest, no nonsense approach. Afterall, this is the biggest purchase or sale of your lifetime. 

I live in Deer Creek, live/drive a 40' diesel pusher and am a "happy camper". Deer Creek offers a unique lifestyle along with many amenities at an affordable cost. Close to Disney and I am an Annual Passholder and frequent the parks and Disney Springs. Come join

Lawrence (Larry) Southwick

I’m Lawrence (Larry) Southwick, a licensed real estate sales associate with Oats Realty, Inc. I started my career in real estate in upstate NY. For five and a half years I worked with two Realtors. I have a two year college degree (AAS) in retail business management and took another one year study in IT at the same college. I worked in the IT corporate world for thirty years.

I started working with Oats Realty, Inc. in 2024. I have found that real estate sales and retail sales are similar. That is, retail has merchandise to sell and in real estate there are homes to sell. In both

situations there are customers to work with and issues to work out.

My goal is to connect sellers and buyers to get the best results for each transaction. I don’t want anyone to walk away not satisfied with the results. I will work hard to get your trust and satisfaction. I’m here to hear you and understand your needs.
